In 1993, Antionette Slabbert created a groundbreaking English programme for her own children, drawing on her Montessori background to design sensorial-based lessons that were both educational and fun. The similarities between Montessori and Active English are evident in their shared principles of fostering independence, hands-on learning, flexibility and a holistic approach, which together creates a learning environment that is both enjoyable and stress-free.
